How to credit free music

You don’t need to write a credit yourself. Press Get on any track and its credit line is at the top of the page, ready to copy and paste.

Below is what a credit line contains, and where to put it.

1. 01

   Title

   The track name, exactly as the library writes it.

2. 02

   Artist

   The person or group who made it.

3. 03

   Source

   A link to the track page you got it from.

4. 04

   License

   The license name, and a link to it when it’s Creative Commons.

Each library words it differently, and some ask for their own format. The credit on each track page follows that library’s wording exactly, so copy it from there rather than from this example.

Where to put it

YouTube

In the video description. Several libraries’ Content ID systems read the description to clear claims automatically.

TikTok & Reels

In the caption, or in your bio link if the caption is full.

Podcasts

In the show notes, and spoken where the library asks for it.

Twitch

In your panels or a chat command, plus the VOD description.

Games & apps

On the credits screen.
