Remove your music

CCHound works like a search engine. We list tracks that libraries and artists publish openly, link to their pages, and never host the audio. So the same signals that remove a page from Google remove it from us.

It happens automatically if you

Mark the page noindex

Add <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> to the track page, or send an X-Robots-Tag: noindex header.

Take the page down

A track page that returns 404 or 410 is dropped.

Block our crawler

Disallow CCHoundFreeMusicIndex, or all crawlers, in your robots.txt.

We re-check every listed page on a rolling basis, and a track leaves CCHound on the next check of its page.

Artists, libraries and rights holders can ask us to remove a track, an artist or a whole library. Tell us what to remove; we check the request and take it down by hand.
